WINTER T'AI CHI CHIH - Tuesdays through March 19, at 11:30 am

Certified T'ai Chi Chih instructor Linda Sercarz returns with an 8-week session of Winter T'ai Chi Chih every Tuesday at 11:30 through March 19. Registration fee is $75 per participant, NO REFUNDS. All levels are welcome. DOWNLOAD REGISTRATION FILE HERE
T'ai Chi Chih is a gentle, mindful exercise that is based on ancient wellness principles from the Far East. It consists of 1 basic pose and 19 different movements, and is designed to help improve flexibility, balance, and overall well-being.


 

SEASONAL ALLERGIES - Tuesday, March 19, at 1 pm

Learn all about seasonal allergies, their causes, and how to manage them during this special presentation by RWJ Barnabas in the library community room. RSVP HERE



MINDFUL COLORING - Tuesdays at 1 pm

Take a break with some mindful coloring at the library. With its soothing and meditative qualities, coloring is a fun and easy activity that can help lower stress levels. If you don't have time to stay and color, just call ahead of time to pick up some coloring sheets to take home. No RSVP needed.


 

VINYASA YOGA - Thursdays at 6:30 pm

Weekly Vinyasa Yoga in our community room returns every Thursday at 6:30 pm. One-hour classes are led by Mary McCourt, assistant manager of Niyama Yoga Shala in Roseland, 2022 Best of Essex winner in the wellness provider and yoga studio categories. Limited to 12 participants - RSVP ON OUR EVENTS CALENDAR
Suitable for all levels. Participants must bring their own mats, water bottles, and props. Free to Roseland residents and paid Roseland Library members, $5 (cash) per class for others. 
Described by the instructor as "a kaleidoscope of meaningful expression through movement of the body," these classes incorporate dynamic music to help spark a soul-body connection and release stagnant energy. 

 


 

RELAXATION MEDITATION - Wednesday, April 3, at 10:30 am & 6:30 pm

Certified Reiki practitioner Anne Shields provides a tranquil environment to promote tension, reduce stress relief, and deep relaxation through short, gentle T'ai Chi exercises, yoga breathing, and meditation. No experience necessary. Please bring a yoga mat or blanket. RSVP for the following dates:

APRIL 3 - 10:30 am or 6:30 pm 

 



SENIOR FITNESS - Mondays and Thursdays at 10 am - resumes March 18
